In 2003 you elected me to undertake and implement key policy activities with Council.
During the past three years, I have provided honest, ethical and responsible leadership. I have worked tirelessly to ensure these policies have been implemented and that Unley has become an even better place in which to live and work.

- Rebuilt the Unley Pool, and increased its opening hours.
- Completed the refurbishment of the Town Hall and Unley Library.
- Oversaw the installation of new bus shelters.
- Expanded car parking in retail areas, such as Boffa Street.
- Comprehensively reviewed the 40KPH traffic strategy.
- Secured funding for the Keswick shared bike path.

Financial
responsibility |
- Kept Unley’s rates among the lowest in the metropolitan area
- Restructured the Centennial Park Cemetery Trust so it could pay its first dividends to Council in 50 years.
- Unley passed the State government’s “sustainability” test.

Heritage
and planning |
- Implemented a new plan designed to preserve the Unley heritage. Called the Unley Desirable Neighbourhoods and Village PAR, it has been described as “exemplary” by Planning SA.
- Worked with neighbouring Councils to reduce graffiti.

Community
building |
- Increased Community Services, Home and Community Care (HACC).
- Revamped Street Life Trust as a peak Committee of Council.
- Produced an annual Unley events calendar.
- Organised and oversaw Unley's Centenary celebrations.
- Provided a festivals fund for local groups.
- Assisted the introduction of the MS Society swim-a-thon.
- Supported the Unley Band and Orchestra.
- Supported volunteer bus drivers.
- Made schools safer with "Kiss and Run" and "Go Slow for Us" campaigns.
- Introduced facility advisory committees, the Youth Web Page, a youth strategy, and the funding of a Community Safety Officer.
